These photoghraphs are an archive and resource in the public domain for public use. Most are print quality and some only good enough for web, but check that out for yourself.

I am not so interested in aesthetics which i see as totally subjective and formed through culture and identities. taste is about reinforcing our belief systems and our perceptions of self. i am more interested in semiotics, that is signs and how we can use them to transform the cultures i/we am a part of. how can we create a better perception of our realities that are more beneficial for the organism?

there are certainly plenty of pictures online for us to look at. the questions is, does it enable us to see further or have we become more blind? there are no simple answers to that question but i think it is one worth asking.

I tend to upload my whole canister of photos and not bother too much with selecting quality. I also tend to not crop them much either. You never know what someone else my find interesting or useful. Because of the sheer volume I upload I do not add descriptions to each photo. If you want to know more about a particular photo, try looking in the set it is in.
