Since 2009 I have spend most of my time in a 3000 hectare nature reserve along the Dutch coast. It has a large population of Fallow Deer, Roe Deer, Foxes and birds. Because the reserve is just a short drive from my house I can spend a lot time on a subject and keep returning to get a good understanding of their behavior.
Mammals are my biggest passion and they get the most attention. In spring my attention usually shifts to Grebe’s and waders. It is great to see how much time and devotion those birds have for nurturing their young.
