I am a software programmer by profession and by choice. I began taking photographs sometime back in 2005 when I ordered a Sony DSC-S40 from my friend in the States. It was a 4 MP point and shoot and used to take good pictures. My interest in photography grew. Pretty soon, I was getting frustrated by the smaller sensor, lower dynamic range and limited zoom capabilities of my point and shoot. Thats when I got introduced to the world of DSLRs, thanks to my friend Killol. Killol is a very good photographer and he got me going. Over a period of 2 years, I had been saving money regularly and now I am happy to have decent equipment. This trend of saving money to buy glass has become more of a habit now :)

Today, I am still learning about exposure, lighting, metering, focus stacking, HDR and lot more. I keep reading articles about people's experiences and techniques. Currently I take photographs either as practice or for the love of all things beautiful. I believe that the camera is a powerful tool, best when put to a specific purpose. I dont know when or if I will find that purpose. Till then, I will enjoy clicking :)
