"The images in strangerbegins' photography suggest a time or place other than where the pictures where actually taken. For instance, if a photo was taken 3 p.m. on a slightly overcast Saturday afternoon, it may appear as if the photo was actually taken at around 1 p.m. on the following, slightly overcast, Sunday afternoon. Similiarly, a photo depicting a street scene on a particular street or block may actually be more representative of a different street or block. Therein lies the art of strangerbegins. When observing his photography, the viewer can never be absolutely sure that he is observing it or not."
