"Chris, your work is remarkable! In it I see Mother Nature doing her very best to consume man's junk! Let's hope it is not a losing battle. You see and share beauty where others may see only litter and junk."

jwoodphoto says:
"Oh, man! I love old trucks with the desert patina of the Southwest. I love old buses turned into Kudzu Topiary in the Southeast. But if I'd known these moss and fern-covered gems existed when I was in the Northwest, I would've become hopelessly addicted to photographing them, the same way I'm addicted to c.updegrave's incredible photographs! What nature does to the abandoned relics of Detroit's heyday, c.updegrave's eye behind the camera turns into pure art."

fuckeyes says:
"this is a pair of eyes i envy cuz clearly he has the time in which to lavish them and the difference between him and the gifted is he shares openly. you look at his photos and it's like he takes you on the walk with him, not as guide, as companion, cuz it feels like hand holding. he really feels stuff and then looks and then captures and then downloads. he's got a sensitivity that isn't measurable cuz it's huge. i look forward to his posts and of anyone, he's prolly gangsta'd my whole favorites page"
