As you can see, I love to take photos of urban scenes, buildings, industrial sites, etc. I now live in Stuttgart, Germany, but have studied, taught and lived in quite a few different places in Germany and the U.S. I use flickr as a type of photo diary which means that I also upload shots that are documentary; i.e. I don't only showcase what I consider my best shots. Sometimes, when I've got a little more time, I like to tweak my pictures a bit, but that does not happen that often.
To me the flickr fun derives from looking at pics from all over the world and from talking to people from lots of different places. I certainly can do without the idiocy of "awards" and wish flickr could do so, too... ;-)
