absolutely terrible in low light, but that's the only fault. the rotating LCD panel is great for framing shots in any position, and i haven't snapped it off yet. i like that the plastic lens cap--no moving parts, nothing to break. it has an awesome manual focus mode for macros, but i'd like a mini ring light or something because i still block out light of anything i get to close up to.

served me faithfully for so many years, now property of a fellow northern dragon. the lens cover mechanism broke after a while: it would open and shut but whatever held the cover in place while it was open must have broke, and the cover would slide over the lens if you held the camera sideways or upside down.


digital olympus
my first digital camera. it was great fun at the time but now it's bulky, shoots slow, and the 1.7 megapixel sensor doesn't sound wow anyone. it went with my friend ryan when he road tripped to san francisco but when he got here he picked up a fujifilm finepix f30.


minolta x-700
this was my mom's camera, my parents first kiss was in a darkroom! now they do mostly digital so this got handed down. the control and image quality is great, but the bulk of the thing and cost of film makes me to grab something smaller like my lomo supersampler (AS3.0).
