Lynn Roebuck - View my most interesting photos on Flickriver

My main focus is also my passion, nature; caves, flora, fauna, landscapes’, sunsets, animals, etc, but I do enjoy many other forms of photography as well. I explore underground as well as on the surface of earth and capture images of what I find interesting, beautiful, unique, creative and/or inspiring.

I try to identify the wildflowers and plants I photograph but please do not consider my identification as authoritative as I am not a botanist. There is a likelihood that some identifications are incorrect so if you find errors I would appreciate a correction. My favorite wildflower identification book is "Wildflowers Of Tennessee, The Ohio Valley and the Southern Appalachians".

I am a Nikon girl!! And am the proud owner of three Nikon DSLR cameras, assorted lenses, flashes, slaves, a lighting system and an array of accessories (a girl has to accessorize, right??) So life is good! I do hope you enjoy looking at my photography and if you see something you like, please contact me.

So far my works have been published in several books; “Ecosystems: Life in a Cave”, “Cave Archaeology of the Eastern Woodlands”, “Principles of Archaeology”, “Wonders of the World: Caves”, “Confederate Nitre Bureau Operations in Alabama” as well as other publications like the NSS News magazine, Fashion News Live, wired.com and countless newsletters related to caving and/or cave conservation and many main stream newspapers and online publications.

    Andy Britt of Portrats-NMotion says:

"A masterful photographer with the heart of a naturalist. If pocahontas would have had a Nikon, she would have been Lynn. Thanks for all the help above and below the soil."

    Chuck Sutherland says:

"Lynn is an excellent photographer and I always look forward to seeing her new posts. No matter her subject, she excels in the capture of it. Her work truly distills the finest qualities from the subject - from archaic rock art panels, to the surprised look of a deer caught in her camera's sights, she never disappoints."

"Lynn's photographs speak volumes about who she is and what she likes. Her photos have also helped me to be a better photographer and to constantly try new process with my images. I am a glad that I stumbled upon her photo stream and can't wait to meet her and friends underground sometime."

    Alan Cressler says:

"I have known Lynn for years. I don't get to see you nearly often enough. I have been watching your photography grow over the last year. I believe you are there. You have some spectacular images. You finally learned to make that fancy Nikon do what you want it to. Keep up the great work my friend. I hope to see you soon.
    Alan"
