  "Since first encountering Dave's Martyn's work some months ago I've become convinced that he is a very good photographer indeed, that is; someone who uses his camera to explore subjects which appeal to him and portrays them in a meaningful way. Most of his subject matter so far is architectural with a strong antiquarian interest. The subjects are excellent, the images clear, sharp and thoughtfully composed. Indeed they are the sort of photographs we should see more of in local guides on architecture. He has done many buildings in Bristol a very great service. These picture have caused me to look afresh at these places that I vaguely thought I knew. It has been a joy to exchange comments from time to time.
