I am a maphistorian living in Delft, the Netherlands. I am very interested in statues and monuments for discoverers, such as Columbus and Leif Erikson. And I maintain a website with photos and information on their statues.

With my brother I have a website "Mens & Dier in Steen & Brons" (men and animals in stone and bronze) showing figurative art in public space in the Netherlands. The address for that site is www.krogtweb.nl/standbeelden

A small section of that site is devoted to statues of Dutch in other countries. For this section we use photos by others, since we can't travel all over the world.
