This site serves as a portfolio of photos taken as components of a story or as stand-alone enterprise shots. I have worked as a journalist since 1973 and am often called upon to take photos to illustrate stories. If you're looking for "art" photography, this is not the place! My work is strictly of a documentary nature, although you will find a few pics that don't fit into that genre.

Photos on this site include several that have been published. One was used on the campaign website of now-President Umaru Yar-Adua of Nigeria. Another, titled "Peppas!," is featured on the front cover of the book "Cooking in West Africa: A colonial guide" published 2007 by Jeppestown Press, London. Still another was used in a brochure put out by the Scottish Refugee Council.

Two additional black and white photos on this site were previously published by the Plainview (Texas) Daily Herald, which holds the copyright.

I also write for corporate and university publications. Soon I hope to offer a radio news service.

I've been a working journalist since 1973, in newspapers, magazines, and radio. I have experience in writing, editing, page layout, book formatting and publishing.

My specialities include historical research, ghost writing and memoirs, investigative reporting, brochures and newsletters.

* University of Tampa Journal, producing 16-page special sections for three issues to mark 75th anniversary of the institution;
