CAMERA
Hello there. I started Flickring in 3rd January 2011, using my iPhone 3GS camera, as it was always with me. Admittedly this camera had certain limitations, but it did make me work harder and be more creative. The convenience for shooting, processing, and uploading is amazing. I love my iPhone and today's wonderful technology!

Happily I upgraded to an iPhone 4S in October 2011, and finally understand why people were so critical of the 3GS camera quality. I can see the difference in quality between the 2 cameras now.


TOPICS
My pictures used to be driven by DailyShoot and MacroMonday topics, which was initially helping me to grow as a photographer. However, since I discovered my style, I have given myself a holiday from the assignments, preferring to snap whatever takes my fancy, which is plenty. Lately I have joined the 365 Days of Colour and Scavenge Challenge groups and am loving posting regularly to a group again.

I work in the city and often shoot during lunch breaks. I like to zoom in on detail, or look at something a little differently. I delight in colour, texture, shadows, lines, repetitions, patterns, reflections, rust, as well as many other things.

I also take lots of pictures of my 2 Siberian Forest Cats, Mittens and Jester. Mittens is a perfect cat model as she loves being photographed, sitting still and smiling. Jester is extremely difficult to snap as he is black smoke and almost never stays still. I adore them both and it probably shows in the pictures ...


COMMENTING
I am quite prolific, posting on average 5 photos a day. But sometimes I get carried away and may post as many as 10! I shoot for my pleasure and share them on Flickr to share this pleasure with my friends.

I believe people should comment on photos only when they feel the urge to say something. Don't feel obliged to comment if you don't feel like it. If you haven't been commenting for while, that's fine by me too. Don't feel guilty because it's all about you feeling good. The same goes for me when I comment on other people's photos :)


FRIENDS
I think that Flickr is amazing ... I feel really connected to my Flickr buddies, because we all share the same passion. I am inspired and uplifted whenever I view your work. It feeds my heart and soul, and makes me happy.


CONTACTS
I try to keep my contacts below 100 as it is not possible to do justice to anyone otherwise. As I am currently full up with contacts, please don't be offended if I don't reciprocate when you make me your contact ... however, I always try to look at your photostream at that point.


DEMOCRACY
I love the Flickr democracy when we can vote for good photos through our views, comments and favourites ... I think the system works well, so that the best pictures move to the top and get Explored.
