A wee Scot living south of the border, needing a walking stick and wheels to get around these days, but can still climb a ladder if I really have to!

I work as an artist - and have shown some of my work in my artwork set. This includes mosaic, woodcarving, sculpture, painting and more recently - jewellery.

Much of my work has involved working with educational and various community groups to assist them in the creation of permanent features for their environment - mosaics, murals and sculpture, but I
am semi retired now.

Some of my work can be seen on the site listed above, and also on www.dreamgallery.co.uk Just look for the mosaic pages and jewellery shop!

I've always used a camera - not very well - and am learning a lot from others on Flickr, and starting to explore the possibilities of Photoshop.
Hopefully, I'm not too old to learn new tricks!

I am constantly, when time allows, calling by and looking at new photographs shown here and would always urge others to do the same. Keep up the good work and 'art' of photography my friend and always remain content with it!"

VICTOR PROSS: British Columbia artist says:

""Looking at Ilona's work has a mirror effect—in one way: It has a total funhouse feel, like mine, and it is also sometimes bawdy, innocent, warm, introspective, captivating. Possessing the technical skill, she is armed to let her imagination roam and the results are found in an alternate reality of the artist’s mind. The journey is a wonderland and joy to behold. We are so blessed to have such an artist---and person--in the world.""

"Ilona was one of my very first FlikR contacts and her kind comments encouraged me to post more photos and then seek out more like-minded contacts. She is a fellow fly Fifer, as she originally came from the beautiful old village of Falkland (with its Royal Palace) before moving to her current home in England’s Black Country. She is a superb artist and her eye for detail, shape and colour in mosaics, woodcarvings and other fine works, is mirrored in her excellent photographs. She may not be as physically mobile as she once was, but her mind is certainly extremely active. Lang may yer lum reek, Ilona! :0)"

"I count Ilona as a friend. She is an unconditional friend, and that is even more valuable to me. I may not always be "on line" but she still visits and always leaves a good positive comment.

She is also a " Wee Scott" as she says haha...I have lived in Scotland and tasted the warmth and friendliness of these lovely people, so I am "sold" as we say in OZ.

Her photographs are beyond words!..you just look for yourself. She obviously loves nature and people....it really shows..together with her artistic talent...you have a wonderful combination.

I look forward to many years of friendship, dear friend.
