we're the Coultate's. We like all sorts of art and music. Photos are just pictures and pictures can be art, sometimes. Photos are just easier to make if you're busy.

We use these pages to show a few pictures that we've taken that we like. With any luck you might find something you like.

Ben's first introduction to cameras was a technological marvel sold by Boots the Chemist - the Disc camera - a camera producing negatives smaller than a very small thing. It did for a nipper. After years of using disposable cameras for holiday snaps and the like his folk's took pity on him and gave him a minolta slr for his 21st birthday. More holiday snaps followed - now in focus. Then digital came along and interest has taken off a bit since. We've got a few cameras now - less free time, but that's how it goes.

Inspiration comes from all over the place. Our favourite photographs are by a fellow called Ragnar Axelsson. His Faces of the North project truly is a document of staggering dedication and artistry. Its importance will only grow as the world changes. Check it out at www.rax.is
