The Midland Academy of Drumming (MAD) is a privately run company that deals firstly in the service of exceptional one-to-one drum tuition to people of all ages and abilities. Founded in 2008, MAD was set up as the result of a collaboration between professional drummers Andy Edwards and Dave J Mason in order to share their unique insight into drumming and education. Now, a mere 3 years on the academy has become one of the busiest and most prolific drum school in the West Midlands today.

Based in the heart of Cradley, Halesowen, the teaching studio has excellent transport links to local areas such as Birmingham, Dudley, Stourbridge, Kidderminster, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich and more. We are just minutes from the Cradley train station and numerous local bus stops!

As purveyors of high-quality drumming tuition we proudly endorse Tama drums, Dream cymbals, Vic Firth drum sticks and Aquarian drum heads.

In addition to this we also offer a number of other services including recording, drum clinics and workshops.
