I enjoy painting and photography, especially with my wife as a prime subject for both, playing with my kids (especially computer games), and saving for their college education -- wait, that's not something I enjoy at ALL!!! LOL My wife has a Flickr account, too, under the ID of LadyHeather30. For those who might be interested: Heather is 50% Italian, and the other 50% is a mixture of ethnicities, with a lot of Scottish blood, to be sure, but even some Native American, all of which make for a really beautiful result if you ask me!! :) And why am I so interested in beauty, and sharing the beauty I see around me? It's innate in me....but, that desire REALLY took hold after losing my one and only sibling--my 'big brother' whom I looked up to for much of my life--to suicide several years ago. When something like that happens to you, it instills an even greater appreciation for the beauty around us that we often take for granted. So I am hoping that through my pictures, the miracle of life (and the beauty of a woman like Heather), will cause people to just stop for a minute and bask in the wonder of it all and realize just how precious life is. (heavy stuff, I know, but that is what drives me to try to capture and savor the beauty I see)

Interested in earning 'Friend' status?
Heather and I operate as a single unit, so I cannot make anyone a 'friend' without her permission, and she doesn't grant that permission for just anyone. First, you have to ask her (send her a flickr mail at her site). Second, you have to be willing to get to know her, which includes being willing to share some information about yourself -- not 'identity-theft' sort of information, of course, but just the kind of POLITE exchange that would be expected between two grownups!!!! :) If she likes you, you're mature, and you're someone who can appreciate the artistic nature of our work, that will go a long way as well. Third, your chances are MUCH greater if you do not add her as F&F at your own site without having the courtesy to ask her first (read her profile and you'll understand why). Finally, if your own 'public' photo stream would make your mother ill to see it, then you probably shouldn't waste our time.
