I use Canon kit: DSLR and a compact.
Bodies and lenses used for the images are given in the tags. Earlier digiscoped images were taken with Sony compacts that suffered too many close encounters with rock-pools.

Please don't be offended if you make me a Contact and I don't add you to my list immediately - while I'm still fit enough I'm trying to keep a life outwith Flickr !!
You will get a visit when I check any Contact Notifications and when "strangers" comment on one of my photos I always try to make a return visit.

"I have had the intention of writing this for a while now...DorsetBirder, aka Allan, has been a contact almost since I joined Flickr a few months ago.
His knowledge of bird species and behaviour is incredible, which is reflected in his wonderful photostream and amazing action shots.
He has given me such valuable information and advice over the last months, and regardless of how busy I am sure he is, he always takes the time to look at, comment and advise on my work.
Although I live at virtually the other end of Britain and have never met Allan, I feel as if I know him through his warm and often witty comments.
So thank you Allan, you are a Flickr friend in a million!! :-))"

"Oh bless, I cannot believe no-one has given you a testimonial yet, I shall right this wrong !!
DorsetBirder I consider a friend, even though I have yet to meet him, always helpful in identifying birds for me, a wealth of information on many subjects besides. ! . I love looking at his photos as well and have learned a lot from his information on his subjects. I am sure we will bump into one another some day over some bird or another !!
All the best, and wishing Allan many rare sightings and lots of birds for him and his camera to capture !!"
