"Thank you for the ad. I enjoy your photos very much and respect what they stand for. I'm trying to get my son to upload some of his pics as he is Security Forces also. He just became a Combat Arms Instructor. I'll make sure he checks out your photos. Thanks Auntdent"

"DF has come a long way from just casual photos to the pics that matter. He does not concentrate on just certain pictures such as landscapes or flowers or camel dung. His eye for beauty is marvelous. Looking beyond the obvious he is one caring son-of-a-gun and that is brought to light is his sequence with the boy scouts in the Grand Canyon and Glen Canyon area.
I said it before and I'll say it again.. I'm 70 years old but thiis youngster is one of my personl heros. Thanks DF and keep up the great work. JD your brother in arms."13th May, 2008

Jody MaNei says:
"DF doesn't try to make you believe a certain political view by showing his photos from current deployments overseas. However you still get the sense that this is reality. From his life overseas, to his adorable dogs, his photography continues to amaze me. Stay safe!"

Very Good with Computers says:
"DF's Iraq images - which I keep coming back to - are neither sanitised 'recruiting posters' or relentlessly downbeat 'media exclusives'; they are just straight, tell-it-as-it-is (probably most days, in fact) images of life. Silly as it may sound to anyone who knows Iraq other than from their TV screens, his images also remind us that Iraq is not one infinitely-extended urban centre punctuated by explosions - it has plenty of desert space and silence."
