Some things:
1. I'm awful about making/returning comments. I appreciate them, I really do, but I usually have no articulate response to make, or anything original to say, so I keep my mouth shut.

2. I take pictures of whatever; stuff I like, stuff I don't like but think is interesting, events that occur in front of me, lunch.

3. I am not a specialist (see above). While I tend to do more of some types of photography than others, I don't believe in the whole "I'm a portrait shooter, I'm a landscape artist, I do fashion, etc" BS. To quote Heinlein "Specialization is for insects."

4. I pretty much don't have a filter. I post whatever strikes me. Therefore at any given time in my photostream there may be pictures of guns, naked people, or something else to offend delicate sensibilities. If you have delicate sensibilities, you should probably have Safe Search turned on. I'll endeavor to appropriately flag my content, but a quick message before you drop a dime to the Flickr poh poh would be appreciated.

5. There are certain Flickr members that feel that:

a. Showing boobs is bad.
b. Showing boobs in a way that is non-artistic (with that person being the ultimate arbiter of what is or isn't art) is bad.
c. Flickr is great because they can find boobs, are easily excited, and are too cheap to buy porn.

If you are in group A see item 4, above. If you are in group b, please eat shit and die, you pretentious wanker.

If you're in group c, I would never presume to try and determine how/why you enjoy whatever. That said, while I appreciate the love, please don't expect a reciprocal love if you you are a consumer and not a creator; i.e. don't have images that you didn't steal off the net. Snapshots of your twigs and berries don't, by my completely arbitrary definition, rise to the level of creation.

6. I block people at my relatively sane discretion. If you:
- Don't have content posted to your profile
- Mr Blockyface as an avatar
- Have been on Flickr for months, have zero images to share and 15K porn images favorited . As far as groups go, I won't post images to, or accept invites from groups that:
- I can't be a member of
- Groups that rely on stolen content (porn collector conventions)
- Groups with a body part in the name, because ... really?

Hopefully we've established that I'm not a snob nor a prude, but the fact is I'd like to control the presentation and association of my images. So having my images pop up with some dude's favs/group's 16,000 "tribute" images isn't necessarily the way I want other people introduced to it.

7. I'm fairly accommodating about the use of my images, if you get permission first. If you steal them and I find out about it, I'll make it my mission in life to make you deeply regret that choice.

If you're in the Eastern PA/NJ,/NYC area, I'd like to take your picture. Drop me a line.
