As imagens do João despuletam sensações... há algo que eu sinto e não sei explicar...nem eu acho que deva ter qualquer explicação, são mesmo para sentir.
O jogo de foque/desfoque, que o João domina por completo, remete-me de imediato para o imaginário e eu gostaria mesmo é que tu, João, soubesses que teu trabalho em nada me deixa indiferente, pelo contrário... tu tens a marca registada de um olhar subjectivo, onírico, conceptual (nem sei qual adjectivo usar...) que é surpreendente, muito bonito de ver.
Que linda é esta tua forma de olhar!

"A photographer never afraid to experiment. Joao Batista produces his images which are far from the conventional. It's always exciting to see how far Joao will go with his next image, but Joao never abandons good photographic principles for the sake of the unconventional alone. His works always displays strong composition, good lighting and exceptional tonal range and contrast.
Joao does produce some colour work but is generally regarded as mainly a monochrome worker. It's perhaps this which attracts me to Joao's work in the first place. The slightly unconventional monochrome image is an applealing one.
