Started taking photos more than 40 years ago. In the 1970s, I used my father's old Revueflex SLR camera. In 1988, I moved to the second generation of autofocus SLRs, a Minolta Dynax (Maxxum) 7000i, with a Tokina wide angle zoom lens and a Sigma telezoom lens.

Most of the analogue photos I took were slides. I preferred Agfa slide film since I liked its neutral color balance. I digitized some of the best slides and negatives using a Nikon Coolscan V.

In 2007, I switched to digital photography, starting with a Fujifilm Finepix S6500fd. Two years later, I moved on and bought a Sony Alpha 700 SLR, with Tamron 17-50mm and a Sony SAL 75-300 lenses. I take only RAW images and develop them using Adobe Lightroom.

I take most of my photos at weekends and on holiday trips, occasionally also on business trips, if time permits. Image themes vary from architecture, landscape, nature, cultural scenes to geometric and color abstracts. I try to capture special moods of light and beautiful moments that I have the luck to encounter.

I love the diversity of Flickr contributions. Just take the time to look at others' images in my set of favorites. You will see incredibly beautiful and ingenious photos that I would have loved to take myself. Thank you all for sharing!
