Thank you for taking time to visit my profile.

My life has been filled with the two big loves of my life - family and teaching. I gave up teaching after many years as a secondary school science teacher to become self employed as a gardener.

My S7000 was a gift from my husband.
I won a S100fs in the MyFuji photography competition and I now use Fuji HS20EXR, my camera goes everywhere with me.

I love to photograph anything that catches my eye. It may be the way light falls, surfaces reflect, satisfying shapes, beautiful textures or sunlight and shadows. Wildlife is always a lure.

I'm taking half decent photos now, but one day I might be able to take shots I feel really proud of. Meanwhile it's great fun learning.

"Jo has been a contact for most of the time (gosh - it's 4 years now!) I have been a Flickrite. I cannot now remember how I found Jo's Photostream but I was entranced by her vison from the very start. Her shots have been an inspiration to me and, as a beginner, have helped me develop my own eye. We have a lot in common - both retired teachers and both passionately interested in the natural world. Jo's photostream reflects that interest and celebrates her family too.

I am also honoured by Jo's support of my photographic efforts, such as they are and for her trust in inviting me to be an Admin in the My Fuji Group. I hope I can live up to her high standards!

Thanks Jo for your help, support and friendship over the last 4 years."

"I remember Jo since her early ventures into the more serious side of photography a couple of years ago. She developed an eye for a great photo extremely quickly, along with the technical skills to capture and present it well too. She has a natural talent and the number of photo's she's had on flickr's 'explore' really says it all.

In addition to her photographic skills she is also very helpful and encouraging to others, whatever thier ability (which I guess is the former teacher in her coming out), which makes her the best 'flickr friend' you could wish for."

"Madame Jo Parsons aka jo92photos is one of the flickr photographers who i admire. Her photographs, every single one of them has the capabilities to impress, I say a lot of WOW's when I see her fotos. She can compose, knows the angles, expertly frames her photographs. She is a Master and most important of all she has the natural talent of a pure artist.

She teaches us with good examples, i am certain she is as good as a gardener as well (wink). Most of all, i am thankful she had included me as one of her flickr contacts. Her comments for my foto work and endeavors are encouraging. Thanks Jo !!"

"Jo, your talents were wasted on the "6otb" on myfuji, on flickr we see your blossoming skills and talents. a photostream containing animals and insects, to nature and scenery, there's something here to delight the tastebuds of many.

Some folk on flickr already know that Jo's a fabby person, with her wicked sense of humour that is constantly displayed in the groups she is always active in and in her comments on other's photostreams, you know Jo's a star, so we hope that she'll continue to shine

You don't want to pass this one, so grab a cuppa, put yer feet up and chill out with Jo's images.. you won't be disappointed

"My attention was first drawn to Jo on the Myfuji website, and comes across as a warm and encouraging human being. I was not surprised to learn that Jo by profession was a teacher as she has a lovely nurturing quality that helps others and shines through into her photography.

She is very generous and extremely helpful with her opinions and is very well respected and sought after because of this.

Although we have never met 'face to face', I feel a 'kindred spirit' where photography is concerned and the same sense of delight when an image comes out wonderfully.

Jo has a keen eye for detail and composition which is reflected in all her images and the many accolades she has collected along the way through her journey of photography."
