I just enjoy looking on wonderful pictures and try to do my best to create also some.

My simple thinking is: I have quite a clear and quick catch on what pictures I like, so I should also be able to "identify such beautiful shots" in the real world. And then just simply take a picture. So it is obvious now why I am here in Flickr.

Of course it is not that easy. The camera is not always at hand - but that is the easiest to solve. Far more challenging for me is to handle the piece in a way that the outcome is as I like. So I am learning, and learning, and learning...mostly from surfing through Flickr and getting new ideas, new technical inputs...

Meanwhile I elevated myself from a Nikon D50 to a D300. Quite a nice item I can tell you. But it will take some time until I can exploit it really.

And there is of course the post processing. For some time I used Photoshop, which for me is the best tool that I used. However, it got too time consuming for me. So I am today happy what Picasa and iPhoto offer. Photoshop only when I am in the mood of a more specific photo-postprocessing-adventure.

What pictures do I like to take? Anything where colors are relevant. Colors I like are strong in the meaning, but soft in their tone. And I like action photos, like the bird pictures and my daughter playing Basketball.

Alexollon is a manager, father of 2 beautiful daughters, and husband to an adoreable and patient woman. All good reasons not to spend too much time with the camera:) However, I just love it!
