What can I say? - I love to take pictures. Ever since I picked up my first digital camera I've been hooked. I love trying to take pics of almost anything, and like many of you, am constantly scanning my surroundings for objects and angles that would make for the perfect shot (I'll let you know if I ever find it).

Over the past five years I have been running my own photography business on the side. I usually have between 40 and 50 shoots per year including a dozen weddings. My photography business has taken time away from a lot of the fun I used to have on flickr, but I'm still having a ton of fun working with people while goofing off behind the camera.

I'm a mild mannered high school teacher during most of the year. This year will be my second time teaching a high school photography course and I'm using a flickr group to provide the arena for us to converse and share class photos, so be uber-nice to any of my students if you run across them! This has also necessitated the name change - just in case anyone was wondering where Nerdvin went!
