Interests:
Animals: all members of the cat family - I have a 17 year old cat Riker (named after ST:NG's Commander William T because he was "Number One" of the litter) littermate Baby Bear (who as a kitten looked like a black bear cub) passed over the rainbow bridge 3/13/2009; bears, especially pandas; love red pandas! Also,birds.TV & Movies - science fiction (especially Babylon5, Farscape, ST:NextGen) and fantasy, but NOT horror. Favorite movie - the Lord of the Rings trilogy by Peter Jackson. Also love the films of recently deceased director Robert Altman, especially "Nashville" and "M*A*S*H".Astronomy, space exploration; my dream vacation would be to travel to New Zealand, and see the country as well as observe the night sky of the Southern Hemisphere (Magellanic Clouds, Eta Carinea, etc).less ambitious would be a trip out to Western USA or Canada to a B&B that specializes in catering to astronomy buffs by providing access to dark skies and telescopes, etc.Also, would love to do whale watching in Alaska and Hawaii.
