Giving and receiving spontaneous gifts of homemade food items.
Taking compost out of the composter. How magical is it that food turns into dirt in just a few short months?
Laying in bed at night and hearing the channel marker bell, the fog horns, and other sounds from the ocean.
Sitting on the futon watching a movie surrounded by husband, dog, and cat.
Being on a nordic ski trail in the middle of the woods with not a soul in sight.
That the A-1 lentils package recommends serving Ranch-Style Lentil Casserole with: "pineapple-cream salad, dill pickles, and peanut bars."
