"I'll never forget when i first stumbled upon meadows' photos. Back then it seemed his name was in direct contradiction to his urban street photos of poles, fences, storefronts, junkyards, and the quirky inhabitants of Brooklyn. But I came to realize that his name (which is not even an alias) fits his images perfectly. He gives these street scenes a pastoral quality and golden glow. I've seen him photograph nature beautifully too. I think this all springs from his New England roots somehow. But i don't really question how he does it. I just sit back and wait for the next one, and when it happens, i simply sigh, "ahhhhh"."
