Welcome...

I discovered photography in August 2010, and I haven't put my camera down since. I'm learning the old fashioned way, through trial and error. Which is a nice way of saying, I'm growing through my mistakes!

Each phase in photography is pleasing to me...exploring the world around me & being out in nature, composing a scene in the viewfinder, creatively processing the image, and finally sharing my work with friends. It's a great form of self expression for me, one which allows endless avenues of creativity. Most of all I'm happy doing it, which is the best part of all.

The other gratifying element to photography, is viewing the work of others. I'm in awe of the images I see on Flickr. I benefit from them aesthetically, I can expand my technical knowledge by studying them, and I also meet some awesome people along the way. In my opinion, it doesn't get better than that.
