Alright, I'm not one for writing much about myself on public sites, but I've been bitten by the photography bug and so I thought I might just put something up.

I started on Flickr with the hopes of sharing pictures with my family more easily than emailing. Then, as I explored, I started to fall in love with all the images. My wife, encouraging me, bought me a Nikon D40 that I've been loving and slowy learning. Just recently I purchased a Nikon D300 to celebrate my graduation from Grad. School, my birthday, and the birth of our son. I'm just loving it and hope it improves my ability to capture what I see in the way that I see it.

I love taking candid pictures of people in places and celebrating what's right in the world.

Any suggestions on how to improve my photography and post-processing skills is welcomed, provided it's polite and well intended of course.

I generally will add someone as a contact if they have added me, and as of now I check to see who's commenting on my pictures. However, if you've got porn or you obviously objectify the human body, I'll block you; simple as that. Artistic nudes are fine, other stuff is not. You know who you are.

Otherwise, enjoy the pictures. I'd love to hear from you; comments, support, friendly hello's.

Thanks for checkin' in.

    Josette Myrick says:

"A girl walks into a bar and sees a man posing for a picture. The girl is intrigued as this is not just any man posing, but a man posing by his own photo all the while channeling his inner Elvis. Girl thinks to herself...this guy looks like he is a lot of fun, she is now on a mission to get to know this man better. She quietly waits for the photo to be taken, walks up to him and says......

"You're my new best friend, call me every ten minutes"

Over a year later the girl, her husband, and the man, along with his beautiful wife and adorable son become life long friends. But what makes this the best story ever is....the girl has her own photos of the man channeling his inner Elvis.

Oh, and the photo that the man was posing next to? Brilliance, sheer brilliance.

    xoxo

(Yes, I did shed a tear while writing this)"
