swan corner's photostream  

I chose the screen name Swan Corner because, at the time, that was where I took most of my photographs.

Except for cropping and watermarking, all images are unprocessed. All pictures were taken using natural light (except for a couple which were taken indoors) and have not been posed.

The camera used is a Samsung ES55, which is an excellent point-and-shoot compact for taking on holiday or to a party, but you quickly discover its limitations when you try to take more serious photographs.

I suppose the point of this exercise is to establish whether it's worth buying a better camera!

Update: now the proud owner of a proper DSLR! Next step: trying to work out how to use it.
