I am a middle-aged American living in rural central Taiwan. Photography is my obsession. I'm trying to record the things, places and especially people I see that are wonderful, strange, beautiful, ugly or just plain interesting.
Before I came to Taiwan I shot and developed my own black and white and C-41 color film. I've bought and sold probably 30 classic cameras over the last few years, everything from Russian Zorkis to Pentax Spotmatics. After living near the edge of film-snobishness, I now shoot mostly with a lowly Nikon D40 which I find to be a marvelous camera. It gives me the images I want and that's what it's all about.
