I'm 40 years old; Married for eight years, and live in Louisville, KY.

Right now I am trying to figure out how to deal with the "Empty Nest Syndrome"; My daughter, Christina, moved to the DC Metro area, in January, 2002, and works at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, (civilian).....she also attends college in Maryland.

Christina turned 23, last year, (2005), and she is a truly remarkable young woman and I am very proud of her.

I am a career college student. I have been a non profit organization manager; A district manage for a photography company, and now do consulting work from home.

I enjoy photography, interior decorating, gardening, reading, biking, and writing: Journaling, poetry, and writing for children.

Dealing with SLE Lupus, Fibromyalgia, and MS is quite a battle, and have been doing so for nine years. I was also diagnosed, on August 8, 2005, with breast cancer; Ten days later I had a double lumpectomy, (a few weeks after my 40th birthday).

I am caregiver to my parents, especially my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and advanced heart disease, (along with a list of other health problems).

I am very passionate about care for the elderly; Animal causes; Violence against women, Native American rights, and children's rights, and all Human Rights.

I collect 'Bunnies-by-the-Bay'; Fiestaware; Hat pins/holders; French Country signs; Quilts; Shabby Chic/Romantic home decor items; Tea pots; Tea cups; Anything Victorian; Wind chimes and Garden stepping stones. I also collect Boyd's Bears' rabbits and Mary Englebreit items.
