I'm pretty much a SAHM living in Norhern NJ (originally from Rochester, NY though). My DH & I have been married 23 yrs & we have 2 awe-inspiring kids :)
I enjoy all crafts especially the needlearts. Currently I'm into felt projects & embroidery. You can usually find me stitching, knitting, crocheting or reading. I love ALL needlecrafts (except needlepoint - never learned that)...I never got into rubberstamping or scrapbooking either as I was lucky enough to avoid those addictions but I LOVE all their little accessories & hoo-hahs, Ok, I am starting now to do some rubberstamping. I plan to start doing some patchwork projects using retro 30s-50s fabrics. I collect ALOT of craft paraphenalia & craft magazines...somebody stop me! I don't garden but I hope to start this Spring. Every year I enjoy vacationing and relaxing in beautiful Orleans & Eastham, Cape Cod.
Things I like for swaps: I like cotton fabrics - esp retro & vintage look, bright colors, polka dots, checks & stripes..no Disney or cartoons , & I'm not really into dark, earthy colors or the primitive country look (ie Thimbleberries fabrics), but I do like classic color combos ie. brown & turquoise or black & ivory and of course Japanese fabrics (who doesn't?), Kath Kidston, Tilda, Robyn Pandolph, Darlene Zimmerman, Mary Engelbreit etc
-embroidery floss, beads, buttons,ribbon, rickrack, etc
-felt
-anything colorful
-cats not dogs
-coffee not tea
-yeah, I love mushrooms, gnomes, hedgehogs too :)
-fabric not yarn (I have way too much yarn already...LOL!)
Some of the mags I read are Somerset Life, Country Living, Romantic Homes, and Quilts & More & the Australian craftmag Homespun
I am hooked on the DIY show 'Creative Juice' & History Channel's 'Naked Archeologist'
I like Lustro Ware & Dapol products from the 50s - kitschy vintage stuff
