    Lightscapes says:

"Don is the quintissential "go-get-her" who clawed (or rather clicked) his way up the photo ladder in rather rapid succession.

It seems like only a few months ago that Don wrote me a note asking for advice on how to get into model photography, where to find models, how to shoot them, etc. I was only too happy to share a few tidbits of my passion (as I'm sure others have as well), and now I see Don's work has become increasingly popular here on Flickr. It's all well deserved of course, and I wish him continued success in this venture.

I look forward to meeting Don in person at some point, perhaps this summer. Maybe then we can attempt a real-life clone of him in a test tube or something. At least when the clone matures the goal would be to have the clone keep his wife company when he's out on shoots with all the pretty young things. lol"

    Haggis Chick says:

"I have always had an interest in photography and for those that don’t know I was fully encouraged even further by a lovely man whom I met at the end of last year. He came to my house with some work colleagues and a MONSTER SIZE CAMERA lol!! (Well compared to mine). He gave me a shot which I must admit I was pretty scared of but since then and our discussions on photography that night he has fully encouraged me to go for it …….. so I have.

He is one of the most generous, kindest men I have ever come across in my life. He has fully encouraged me in my photography, guiding me every step of the way, replied to my endless emails and questions on “how do I do this” or “how do I do that” without even a mutter of “ooh leave me alone”!

I want to take this opportunity to thank Don from the bottom of my heart for being such a support to me, giving me all the information I need, being there to answer my stupid questions and for being a good friend. Thank you so much Don. I hope I can be as good as you and as patient and kind to the next flickerer that decides to join this crazy, mad and exciting world.

    J x"

    Miss Aniela says:

"A great Flickr friend of mine, Don is as intellectually critical as he is generous-hearted, and as experimental with new ideas as he is artistically consistent. He is, also, what I previously described as simply 'one of the VERY few people I've met in my life whom I can trust to be competent to take a good picture on being handed a camera' – which I think is the best thing!

Thanks Don for all your support on here, for always being there to give advice, and for buying me those old postcards in the antique store in Lewes. ;-)

    Plus for many other things.

    Love always,

    N.A.D."
