I'm not an "artist", or a "photographer".

I don't have a lot of free time to edit my photostream. I also have a tendency to use Flickr to archive my entire unedited sessions. Please don't mind the mess.

Using photos



Many images from my photostream are available royalty-free under a Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 Unported License or other license, where indicated on the photo details page.

Attribution may be given to "Aranami". Feel free to edit photos as you desire.

What is "Editorial Use Only"?

An "editorial use only" notation as used in this photostream signifies that commercial uses of a photo may be affected by underlying rights. It does not alter or impose additional conditions on the license terms. The rights available to me in the creative act of recording are licensed to you, as applicable, to the extent possible; however, others may hold interest in neighboring rights, such as trademark.

In particular, many "retail" photos feature storefronts, store interiors and signs with logos. Cosplay and convention photos are normally covered for the individual subjects by a general release or verbal permission; the characters being portrayed will often be owned by somebody else.

In these cases, placement on news websites and in print articles, for example, as well as commercial usage relating to the subject in an informational manner (such as in a restaurant review, or promotion of an upcoming convention) is generally accepted. Placement in ad creative for unrelated products (and selling the photos as stock for such purposes) is generally not.

Publicity rights disclaimer

Efforts to secure photography permissions, waivers, publicity releases or rights have been made only for a select number of photos. In all other cases, publication is made on the basis of editorial usage, in public venues where no reasonable expectation of privacy exists, and it is visibly apparent that photographic recording will take place.

Where the setting of a photo is a public location, an image may depict unrelated individuals. It is the responsibility of the end user to determine if a given use such photo is encumbered by other rights holders. Commercial usage may be restricted. As provided in Creative Commons licenses, such licenses are granted without warranty and does not confer any moral, publicity, trademark or privacy rights.

In all works where the subject comprises of or contains in large part the image or likeness of a person, the image will be marked as © All Rights Reserved, and no Creative Commons license is intended or will apply.

If you appear in any of my photos and want to be removed, please ask me and I will (usually) do so.
