i thank my flickr friends for their constant support and inspiration.

NOTE:
given the rampant theft of photos from flickr, i'm not very tolerant of individuals who fave numerous photos but can't be bothered to comment. it leaves me rather suspect of the individual's motivation for "faving", especially when it's done to multiple images. it looks far too much like hoarding for the purpose of theft, and i'm sorry ... my paranoid ass will simply block you.

if you've got nothing nice or constructive to say in a comment to go along with your "faves" or you can't be bothered to take a few seconds to make an acquaintance, then please go fave someone else's photos.

also, if you fave my photos but have no icon, no profile, and -- especially -- no photos available for me to view in return, you will be blocked. sorry. if you're not into sharing, neither am i.

"illona is one of my favorite photographers. her dog shots are perfect moments that never fail to show the subject's true personality. she has an eye for colour, composition and has a way of connecting to the animal.
more than just a photographer, illona is a wonderful person. she might say the f-word sometimes and she won't mince words but under it all she's a kind heart!
her photostream is proof that she's a wonderful mom to her dogs, a talented photographer and a good friend. flickr is a better place because of her."

"Passionate. That is the one word that I feel describes illona best. She is passionate about everything she does. Her photography, her writing, her friends, her pets, her raw feeding, her visual journal, her migraines, her use of e-collar and her humor . Her life shows a passion that I have admired ever since I met illona on flickr.
Illona has inpired me, not only to become a better photographer
and and see the world in a different way, but she has also helped me to get there. Illona is always ready to answer my questions and the
questions others have asked about photography, techniques, and
    processing.
I, too, go to illona’s photostream first when I check into flickr. Her photos make you laugh. They make you cry. They make you think. They make you angry and they make you care for the world around you.I love to find out what is new in her life and how her critters are.
The creativity she exhibits when photographing animals is beyond amazing, and I want to be at least half as good as she is. Illona captures the essence of each animal that she photographs. She
photographs animals from every angle imaginable with breath taking
results. Her post processing is an art she has painstakingly mastered.
I can only see her new venture, Scruffy Dog Photography ( www.scruffydogpho... )as a success, and wish her the best of luck."

"illona's stream is one of those streams i check first when logging on. her animal pictures ROCK with warm wonderful colors and great composition. i have fallen in love with the soap opera of illona's pack and look forward to the next photo or video of morley, matea, meatguts and occasionally woody. they are a great family.

I consider Illona to be a good flickr friend who is generous with comments, advice, and good vibes. She is also a great friend to animals. If i was a stray dog or cat i would have to turn up on her front porch because i would be well taken care of and loved...although i might get a funny name."

Her photos are always unique and so full of colour, and I love the way she she shares her life with us through her photographs and writings.
Talented, funny, caring, compassionate, strong and intelligent are words that I would use to describe Illona. I am so glad that I found her here on flickr, her stream always brightens my day!"

"With a clever eye, and two trusty sidekicks, she offers wonderful photography and a photostream that is truly an enjoyable visit. Always experimenting with the camera and sharing the results, her shots inspire dynamic creativity and serve as a refreshing reminder that you can always try it another way.
From fisheye to macro to mosaic, she toys with a variety of techniques and tools without getting locked into one focus. Her true focus is her dogs, who are uniquely expressive. So many shots of them, all a little different, reinforcing that reminder that you can always try it another way."
