"Let me be the FIRST person to write Yip a testimonial because I think he deserves it.
Yip and I used to work together before in the same company. I remember I introduced him to Flickr and that was where I see how his passion for photography grow ever since. Back then he was so busy dedicating himself to his work as a designer that he hardly had time for photography. I quit the company and later he did the same, and so we went our separate paths.
He acquired himself a dSLR but lost it to a thief during his backpacking in Cambodia. Fortunately, he had a film SLR with him to record his more than one month of travel experience in the few Indochina countries he went to. Upon returning home to Malaysia with limited rolls of films he had shot, with amazement I found him a talented photographer from the travel photos he took, though he might not agree with me.
Today, as he owns not a single digital camera (not yet but maybe later you will) but shoots mostly with his medium format camera, his work continues to capture my attention and the attention of many others, I believe. Yip – possesses the art sense – eye for details and composition plus colour combination in the photography style of his own.
