Photographs of things that catch my eye.

I'm in England - but only until I inherit a house in Italy...which may mean I'm going to be stuck here for quite some time.

    VisualFlux™ says:

"Steve is a true renaissance man and one of the nicest blokes I've never met. An accomplished photographer, collector of fine knickers, opium poppy farmer, and co-founder of the Briggs & Roe Distillery -- famous for its exquisite Olde Cemetery whisky. Although a painful subject for discussion, Messr. Roe also owns a bicycle shop in Tibet which he inherited from the great Derek Digby. Unfortunately, the shop is presently under Chinese control and has been converted to the manufacture of knock-off iPhone accessories and nested dolls bearing the likeness of Kim Jong Il.

Less known is Steve's voracious appetite for the printed word and his rather polished skills as an amateur cryptographer -- two traits that have made Steve quite famous among the end-of-days set for having deciphered the name of the Antichrist from an anagram of "Hogwarts" and "Devizes Guardians". Needless to say, Steve is loathe to reveal the creature's identity as it would unravel time itself and he has been well compensated not to do so.

It is worth mentioning that Mssr. Roe is the only known relative of Etheldreda Goodliffe to share no genetic markers with either she or HRH the late King of Hatay, and if you're ever in Pudsey do look him up as the resemblance is quite striking."

"i adore steve roe. he has many things i covet, such as some exquisite books, an ink bottle and the most flipping awesome deck of cards which he refuses to give me. nevertheless, i appreciate the notes i receive from him directing me to another artists' work; giving me points of historical reference; having the most delightful sense of humor.

i have no empirical knowledge of his ham consumption, however, i don't put culinary excesses past him."

"Steve is an excellent photographer with an eye for detail and understands perfectly the balance between light and dark.
He would also eat you out of house and home if there's roast ham on the menu."
