I take pictures to remind myself of how to be grateful. I tend to forget often...
Most times, I focus on the human face - to me, it is the window to every human drama, big or small. The physiognomy tells the story.
I use flickr as a stream of consciousness - to experiment, share, try something new and different, bounce things off of other creative spirits.

"Why take photographs? Do you want to see? Do you want to show? Do you want to create? Do you want to share?
For me, Zun is pure. He sees and assures. There are few on Flickr who connect with their subjects, draw them out like he does. Looking through his stream we get to see that we are everyone, everyone is us. We are all in this together.
Honesty, compassion, beauty, strength, and love!"20th February, 2011

She Said Unprintable Things says:
"Zun. Already his name can give you a hint, of the streamlined passion that he directs and presents on his stream. If you just simply watch and witness his consecutive posts, you will experience change. I did.
He takes the ideals, of love and courage, of home and beauty, of humor and connection, and he bangs them down in to shape and form. He uses forgotten tools and rich materials, such as honest sight and precise individuals. And with them he creates art that allows us to find and hold those ideals in ourselves, in our lives, and on those streets.
There are no ephemeral clouds of wonder in his world. Zun's work is real; he is real. His work has consistently shown me the permanence of true heart, and for that I am changed and grateful."30th December, 2010

"I've been a contact of Zun's for a little while now, and have to say he is certainly one of the nicest guys on flickr. He's for sure super talented, and his street work speaks for itself. Even more so, he's a really humble guy, and always has kind words to spare for his fellow photographer. Great guy all around! Hope to get out to shoot with him one day when I'm back in Canada!"

"Energy! That's the word that comes to mind when I think of Zun. It's the word that I associate with a recent night of street shooting in Midtown Manhattan where he astounded me with a technique so intense and focused that within twenty minutes he had enough great shots to call it a night. But it's a good thing he didn't because we would have missed another several hours of brilliant candid street photography, hilarious fun, and great conversation. Without going into any specifics, I'll just say that shooting with Zun is not just an adventure, it's a lesson. And don't just take my word for it; Ourit and Rena were there too. I'm not making any of this up :) But seriously, I've been a regular on Zun's stream for a while now, and always find his photos and comments thought provoking and well thought out, often humorous and witty, but always intelligent and sincere. And now that I've had the pleasure of observing him at work behind the scenes, it's easy to understand why. Respect, Zun!"

Neal Bingham says:
"Zun captures real human emotion and presents it to the world in beautiful ways. Stoked to have him among my contacts, I've learnt so much from Zun over the past few months. He gives and shares so much with the flickr community, his comments and narratives are often as thought-provoking as his images. Thanks for all your support Z!!"
