"DeeDee once asked me - quite early in our friendship - if t-girls such as me ever wanted to be friends with g-girls (genetic girls, girlie girls) like her at all. Didn't we prefer to hang out with our own kind? No! I said. No, no, no! a thousand times!! We t-girls love and admire g-girls - that's the reason we want to dress like them, walk like them, and be just like them!! The trouble is, a lot of g-girls don't understand this...
But DeeDee understands. And she enjoys her crazy t-girl friends. But DeeDee's friendship is about so much more than this. She is creative, super-glamorous, sassy, sophisticated, passionate, quirky, fiery, and totally unique. She also has the most amazingly beautiful cheekbones I have ever seen - even for a model! Our girlie relationship about clothes and make-up has blossomed into a deeper, wider friendship. DeeDee picks me up when I am down, and I try to do the same for her. We share our triumphs, woes, dreams, fears, and stray insights into the mad world we both live in. I am sure that - even if I never meet deeDee in person - that in her I have found a true friend for life.
