Let's start off by saying that I have a good memory for strange times in my life. When I was graduating preschool my teacher had all the kids announce what they would like to be when they grew up. My fellow classmates had dreams of being on the police force or becoming fireman. What did I choose? I said I wanted to be in rodeos. Yeah, that's right rodeos, bull riding to be exact. I thought bull riders were the most high fivin awesome dudes around. These guys climb on top of animals that weighed about 1500 lbs and were ticked off that some random guy in a cowboy hat was trying to ride them. Something about that seemed so cool to be risking your life for, these guys had very dangerous hobbies and they had all of my respect. Many years later things have changed, I haven't watched a rodeo in 14 years and I no longer aspire to be a cowboy with a death wish. Although I can not say that my new profession is safe, instead of ducking bulls horns I'm ducking swinging microphones and stage divers. Dodging the opening holes of mosh pits and trying to not lose my hearing to the sounds of blasting guitars. I photograph music, I also shoot people whether they are from the music industry or just someone who crosses my path. I strive to shoot in a more natural setting, capturing images as they happen. So that when my images come together they tell a story or show an emotion of who these people are.
