First of all, a little warning: Please, if you're not interested in my work, and just want to have an ever increasing list of buddies, do not add me as your contact.

After mentioning a bit about myself to a rather great photographer that i've recently discovered by accident (as most cases happen), i thought maybe i could do the same with the rest ...

Not much to say to be honest, rather than the fact that i'm 24 right now (this beeing August, 2007), and have recently regained my apettite for photography.

First person to blame for this would be my father, who taught me when i was six how to handle photographic chemicals, and photo paper, use a photo enlarger, taught me about exposure times, apertures, and eventually let me all by myself in the lab.

And the feeling is not one to ever be forgotten. Between the solitude of the dim green lit room to the outburst you have when you see the final outcome, there's a whole range of emotions and empyrical skills involved. Starting with timing the exposure of the paper to the negative, which sometimes is based on sheer luck, then quickly taking the sheet of paper into the revelator tray and awaiting for it to darken.

At this point, the feeling can't be described, as you realise your work comes to life. It's a sensation that anyone who loves photography has to experience at least once in his lifetime. And all of a sudden, you have to stop from your rêve, as the paper needs to go to the next stage, and the next tray. Fixating the photograph. And as you watch, you can only distinguish black shapes on your paper. And you can barely wait to go out into the light and admire your work.

And once you consider time's up, you burst out your lab's door into the light, to gaze at your "masterpiece".

And each time, no matter how the photo ended up, it was
still as beautiful as it could be ... because it was a
fragment of life that you brought back into the world, to
stay.

And here's my first ever developed photo :)

    Le soleil d'aujourd'hui says:

"His photos- mixture of technical skills and creativity. His eye- made to see the finest aspects around us. His photos speak to me and it's amazig how well he can capture moods in landscapes or places. He has his own perspective, overwhelming by nostalgia, but at the same time giving way to hope ( the lights in his pictures). How well can he express the philosophy behind a photo! A girl with a sole stocking, an eye contact between two girls from different social classes...his eye definitely sees beyond appearance, as he doesn't choose insignificant objects or subjects. For me he is a great photographer, who will always pay attention to things around him, waiting for the right moment to come in order to catch the complex message behind a moment."
