So this is what happens when you take a left-brain / right-brain gearhead with an appreciation for composition and design and hand him a camera...

I do salute the Stanford Engineering flag (BS/MSEE) and I work in SoftwareLand, but bicycling and cars and great conversations and a bit of improv with the Silly Ones and photography and lovely little blond with a big sparkle in her eye is what really makes my world go 'round. I love making people laugh and sharing great images when they emerge from the post-processing hocus-pocus.

Python, Firesign, puns and more will appear in my comments every so often, so be forewarned.

Flickr has been great for inspiration. Viewing the new images from contacts is a daily surprise, bringing smiles and a bit of intimidation (they're seriously great shots). And visitor feedback does help.

Do take a look through the galleries I've assembled -- they contain some of the best shots on flickr, IMHO. (And let's get flickr to make it easier to draw viewers to galleries. Those shots should get seen.)

Caveat to bloggers: I've had a few problems so I'm limiting who can blog with these. I hope you understand. And as for group invitations, I will look at each one and see whether my shots fit in before including them. That means I won't add them to any group I can't see.

Note to obnoxious commenters: disgusting, rude, abusive, etc. comments will be deleted quickly. Pretty simple. Wander around -- you'll see that I don't mind weird or snarky or punful writing, so for 99.98% of you it won't be an issue. (And big thanks to y'all for that.)

Also, I've had bad luck with people promising photo credit in exchange for use (and not delivering), so don't be irritated with me if I can't help you out. I'm sure you'll find what you need on another stream. That applies to requests for larger sizes too.
