bard of the lake - View my most interesting photos on Flickriver

Involved in Photography for many years professionally, I am in debt to my late father Hudson Review founder and editor Frederick Morgan for having bought me a Kodak Brownie Hawkeye camera when I was eight years old. This year (2011) that will give me 50 years of taking photographs. It is still a career that still inspires and amazes me.

Education: New York University, Antonelli Institute, various studies with Michael A. Smith, Emmet Gowan, Gordon Adelmann.

I maintain several groups here on Flickr including Optimum Opus which contains work by photographers and graphic artists that I admire that I admire.

"Bardofthelake is certainly a gifted photographer with a strong sense of the past. He has a wonderful philosophy on life and seems to be in a wonderful world covering its wonders through his eyes and lens of his camera(s). Keep up the great work Bard, and yes life really is too short! I am most fascinated by your treasuring of your granddad's pix from WWI. Apparently you realize how fortunate you are to have an ancestor that made history."

"What can you find in this poet's stream (guarding the border of the lake)?
A journey through your dreams... and nightmares, shocked by death and sweetness, by the eternal struggle between nature and human. Meet yourself in this darkened mirror, this a threshold in which beauty and truth come alive through silence, the untold, and instead of light, its own conflicts.
Truly human, recommended from our hearts."

"I have just recently encountered Bard's photos.
He is obviously a very diverse and accomplished photographer...but what I adore most about his shots are the still life / scene images.
He captures what all of us shoot in the basic scene photo and somehow elevates it to utter, almost speechless beauty. A very admirable and unique trait. Keep shooting Bard."

    "I first met George when he posted to my group d r e a m s c a p e s . . .

I am became instantly fascinated with his work. Why? Because its brilliant...George attacks your senses with some of the most romantic images i have ever seen. Alot of his work his film. SO this makes my respect levels go thru the roof for him... Even though some of the work he posts is 20-30 yrs old. It has timelessness I that I can ONLY HOPE my work will achieve someday!
