I am recently widowed. I had left my husband last year because of domestic violence of over a decade. he took his life before I could get a divorce. We had 5 sons together.

I was given an iphone as a gift. I am taking photos as a kind of catharsis. For no other reason. Yeah, i did art at school, but that was over 17 years ago. But I just need this to escape. It is helping the colour return to my life. I am just exploring. there is no other meaning, really.

21/6/10 As my exploration of stuff is evolving, i'm finding i want to chronicle things. I suppose Flickr isn't really for that, as I happened upon uploading things to it upon my discovery of the awesomeness of Hipstamatic, and things just snowballed. Each thing I do is more of a release - usually an escape from something dark I should be facing. So in order to not clutter up Flickr too much with that, I have started a Tumblr blog. I feel better chucking all this stuff at the universe. It reminds me that I still exist on planet earth, and that I didn't get sucked into non-existence with him.

update 20 August 2011... I am now remarried and living in the Golan Heights, in Israel....so begins the new chapter ;)
