With a NIKON D90 DSLR camera for the most "organized" photo shooting activities and with a compact Panasonic LUMIX DMC-ZX1 (used to be a PENTAX Optio T20) almost always at hand, I am trying to rediscover the beauty of the world around me, feeling deeply sorry for all the time lost until now. I will always think of myself as an amateur photographer with a professional attitude towards the idea the ART of "photography" represents.

With God's help, I will keep on shooting a wide variety of themes, themes that I like best, under the conditions I consider best, hoping to exchange opinions with other people that their photo shooting preferences and interests happen to fall in with mine.

I like playing with the light, I like watching it coming out of or even invading into darker areas the details of which are also visible by the way. I like my photos to be rather low lighted and dull coloured but sharp, well focused and most of them "carefully" HDR processed without overwhelming exaggerations so widely spread and often seen nowadays !!! I LOVE HDR PHOTOS AND HDR PROCESSING, WHEREVER AND WHENEVER THIS PROCESSING ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTES POSITIVELY TO THE OVERALL SYNTHESIS !!!! The processing tools I use form a technique which consequently serves one and only purpose:To emulate the true lighting conditions of a photographic moment as accurately as possible and not just to impress the viewer in a colourful no doubt but absolutely unreal manner !!!

I strongly believe that a good photographer should send a message with every single photo he exhibits. He should also know how to push his/her equipment to its limits and properly and optically decently shoot almost anything. I'm not a fanatic fan of " doctors that can treat only your right and not your left ear" and I surely don't want to be taken as one.

I finally believe, contrary to those who argue in favour of the "unprocessed, one click only photograph" concept, that the appropriate digital processing of an image is not only desirable but mandatory and not necessarily bad. It's like cooking !!! No matter how tasty the food is, you won't like it if it's not served properly !!!

    Ganymede: Photography says:

"Emil has a lot of talent, not just a superb talent like many other photographers, but a special one. He knows everything a photographer must know, and on top of that he gives a special meaning to his photos. There is something that catched my eye from the very moment I met him -he always respects human eye's optic and his HDRs are realistic, like a piece of reality. You can see his photos, and you can FEEL his photos.

And of course he's a loyal friend who is always there.

I'm very glad to have Emil as a friend!"
