Hi! Thanks for dropping by to look at some of my photos.

I started taking photos some 20 years ago after purchasing a Canon 1000F for a trip to Hawaii with a couple of buddies from high school. While I really enjoyed photography, the hustle and bustle of everyday work removed the opportunity to really get out there and chase the light, leaving it as something to pursue during vacations, which were pretty rare.

The middle of 2010 saw a renewed interest in photography when I moved to a DSLR in the form of a Nikon D90. This time I made sure I was going to pursue it, and I have. I have been reading countless books and more importantly taking the time to get out and take photos and learn what I can, which I am finding is a great creative distraction from everything else going on.

Something you may not know is that I am extremely colour blind. Testing revealed that I can distinguish about 17 colours from the billions of shades out there. I like bright, vibrant colours and I try to bring that into my images.
