Having been interested in photography since about age 15, I stopped using my film SLR and went through several digital compacts. Digital SLR was still a bit out of my price range and I wanted something practical which gave me the option of not having to change lenses constantly. So I went for a Panasonic FZ30 and never looked back. My only criticism of the camera is that it tends to have a lot of noise at low light levels especially at ISO 400.

Finally took the plunge to digital SLR and got myself a lovely Canon EOS 450D. I really like it!

Also I am very lucky to live in Scotland, where there is so much to photograph. East Lothian has vast sweeping vistas, from the gently rolling hills of the Lammermuirs down through the foothills towards the sea. It is an ancient and mysterious place with hillforts perched on top of remnants of ancient volcanoes, the coastline is fabulous, it's villages are beautiful and there seem to be castles and golf courses around every corner.
