Michele Izzo studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh and privately with Edgar A. Whitney and Frank Webb. She is listed in Who's Who in America, and Who's Who in American Women.
From 1978 to 1991 she was employed as a graphic designer, working with several major corporations, until starting her own graphic design
business in 1991.
Her work has been exhibited in six American Watercolor Society International Exhibitions at the Salmagundi Club in New York City, three Traveling Exhibitions of The American Watercolor Society, Bienal Internacional de Acuarela VI from 2004-2005 in Mexico, the 2003 and 2009 Adirondacks National Exhibition of Watercolors, and the 1989 Midwest Watercolor Society Exhibition. Her work is included in the book, "Strengthen Your Paintings with Dynamic Composition", by Frank Webb.
In 2010, her painting earned the Jack Richeson Award in the Inaugural Signature American Watercolor Exhibition at Fallbrook Art Center in Fallbrook, California.
Michele became a signature member of The American Watercolor Society in 1992. She presently serves as Treasurer and Awards Chairman for The American Watercolor Society. She served as invited juror for the 143rd AWS exhibition.
In addition to designing and painting, Michele also enjoys bicycling and completed fifteen 200-mile bicycle rides from New York to Vermont in order to support Special Olympics and Westchester ARC.
Michele lives in Cortlandt Manor, New York and spends time painting each year in Delaware.
