Erm...Firefox 2

I love photography. I have photographed for over 40 years. I do not think I am good though I have won awards at amateur photo clubs. Yes, I have gone digital. My first digital camera was an Olympus C-5050 which I lost. My insurance replaced it with an Olympus C-8080 which is bulkier but has more pixels.

OK, so I am probably a bit geeky with photography. An amateur but geeky. If that's not your thing, then you should probably stay away from me - he he. I get a kick out of the technicalities of shots and try to improve myself that way. Apparently I have a creative eye but I would never call myself creative. For real creativity, see one of my sons websites.

I am happily married, 26 years, with 7 children between us and 3.5 grandchildren. I sign (BSL) as one of my children is profoundly deaf (Usher's Syndrome).

I am a private pilot though have not flown for about 5 years due finances.

Flickr stuff I have made myself a rule. If someone kindly comments on any of my photos then I will check their stream and comment on one of theirs. Seems only fair to me. I may also make them a contact - but only if I like their stream - please don't be offended if I dont make you a contact - it simply means your stream is not to my taste.

I made a decision very early on to upload all my photos at no more than 800x600. I made this for a few reasons. Firstly, copyright. High resolution shots are available for sale. Secondly, I cannot afford a pro account at the minute (Erm, update 21/10/06 ckaiserca purchased a pro account for me! So kind. Thank you) so uploading low res saves space. If you want a hi-res photo of mine, drop me a flickr mail and let me know what you want it for.

Warning Do not post large photographs/icons as comments to any of my photos in my stream. Your comment will be deleted. If you must post a photo or icon, then make it tiny only.

By the way, to misquote Ansel Adams - If you think there are no people in my photographs, I say "There are always two people: me the photographer and you the viewer!"
